Many experts believe that the Internet of Things (IoT) will revolutionize technology and society. We can all see the benefits of IoT with respect to consumer electronics (Nest, Fitbit, etc.) but what about from business? Some on the benefits that some companies are seeing from implementing IoT for their business is improving manufacturing design by monitoring product line performance, increasing service revenue by offering service plans that include monitoring just to name a few.

However, there are unique challenges that are presented when implementing IoT into a corporate environment. You may have devices that are preconfigured to communicate to different clouds. You may have to implement new devices and new cloud services. But once you have the devices connected you are just collecting the data and still need to solve the business problem that IoT was originally set out to address.
